Marie 'Jeannette' (Brisson) Renza
86, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Italo V. Renza. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Omar J. and Julia (Plante) Brisson.
Marie worked as a meat wrapper for Big G supermarkets, and later as a teacher's assistant at Candy Cane Nursery School and Kindergarten. She enjoyed music and ballroom dancing, as well as playing BINGO and word games.
She is survived by her loving children, Robert D. Renza and his wife Irene of Oakdale, CT, Janet C. D'Ambra and her husband John of Johnston, and Deborah J. Pompei and her husband Joseph of West Warwick; cherished grandchildren Brian, Holly, Christopher, Allan, Stephanie and great-grandchildren Lance, Felicity, Crystal, Anna, Megan; dear siblings Beatrice Crisostomi of Providence, Lillian Anastasi of Stuart, FL, Rita Mitchell of Jacksonville, FL, and Christine Stephenson of Boynton Beach, FL. She was also the sister of 9 pre-deceased siblings.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
