Mario A. Cowboy Ardente

89, of West Warwick, formerly of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret V. (Stabile) Ardente. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Rocco and Philomena (Iannotti) Ardente.
Mario was a member of the New England Soccer Hall of Fame, a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and also member of the Laborers Union Local 271. He was a United States World War II Army Veteran.

He is survived by his loving children, Diane B. Ardente of West Warwick, and Rocco A. Ardente of Delray Beach, FL; his cherished grandchildren, Deanna Lyn Yankee, Robert A. Ardente, Mario J. Ardente, two great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; his dear siblings, Vincent Ardente of Cranston, Mary Tanzi and Pasqualina Marcella both of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Armando and Rocco Ardente, Elizabeth St. Hilaire, and Anna D'Antuono.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m.
