Mario Sabino

Mario Sabino, 58, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Johnston, RI, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 21, 1967, in Chicago, IL, Mario lived a life defined by devotion to his family, his work, and the many friends who cherished his company.

Mario was the beloved husband of Enrica Sabino, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. His children, Luigi Sabino and Marianna Sabino, were the pride of his life. Mario also welcomed his daughter-in-law, Valentina Sabino, into the family with open arms. He is survived by his sister, Caterina Sabino, and brother, Patrizio Sabino, both of whom shared deep, lifelong bonds with him.

Predeceased by his parents, Maria (Perrotta) Sabino, and  Luigi Sabino he is now reunited with both of them , Mario carried their legacy forward in everything he did, honoring their memory through his actions and character.

Known for his unwavering work ethic, dedication, and focus, Mario was a successful entrepreneur who owned and operated a cabinetry company specializing in the import of fine cabinets from Italy. With talent and diligence, he built a reputation for excellence, ensuring that his work reflected the pride he felt for his Italian heritage.

Mario’s passions extended far beyond his professional life. His ardent support of his favorite soccer team, Juventus, not only brought energy to countless debates but also created lasting memories with family and friends. Sundays were sacred—a time reserved for Mario to take to the field, sharing in the joy of playing soccer alongside his son Luigi and friends, embracing both competition and camaraderie.

An exceptional home chef, Mario was renowned for his pizza-making skills. He delighted in inviting others to sample what he enthusiastically insisted was “the best in Rhode Island.” Making pizza in his backyard was more than a hobby; it was a celebration of community, family, and good food.

Those fortunate enough to know Mario will remember him for his mischievous sense of humor and the laughs he brought to every gathering. He was the everyday jokester, lightening hearts and minds, keeping his beloved wife Enrica on her toes with playful antics, even in his final days. Ever dependable, supportive, and ready to help anyone in need, Mario faced life’s challenges with a calm and steady stride, tackling hardship head-on with grace and determination.

Mario leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear. He touched the lives of many and will not soon be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitations on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910. A Mass in celebration of Mario’s life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial is respectfully private.
