Marion 'Mary' R. (Grande) Schettini
91, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Schettini. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Gama) Grande and was also the daughter of the late Filomena Grande.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kathleen D'Antuono and her husband Anthony of Johnston, and Carol A. Mitola and her husband V. George, Jr. of Scituate; cherished granddaughters Kara and Marissa Mitola; dear sister Rose Procaccini of Cranston. She was also the sister of the late John Grande.
Mary was the co-owner of Annex Food Store then later worked at Almacs until her retirement. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, bowling, playing cards, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking Sunday meals for them. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters whom she loved very much.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Entombment will take place in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, N.E. Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
