Mark A. Recio

56, passed away unexpectedly in London, England on June 20, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Thushari (Dharmasena) Recio. Born in Warwick, RI he was the son of Helen (Iasimone) Recio and the late Dr. Conrad Recio. Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving son Austin P. Recio residing in New York, NY and his loving step-son Veajith L.W. Recio of Sri Lanka. Mark was the brother of Laurie Rigatti and her husband Gary of TN; half-brother of Romanita Uhlich and her husband Eric of NY; brother-in-law of Poorna Dharmasena. He is also survived by his beloved niece and nephews, Taylor Rigatti, Alexander Rigatti and Eros Corpus.

Mark attended Narragansett High School, Class of 1979. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pace University (NY) in 1985. He also received a Master’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Mark was the Vice President of International Finance for IGT (formerly GTECH) and started his employment there in 1985. He had been residing in London for the past two years.  Mark loved to travel the world trying different fine wines and food (mostly Italian). He also loved to play and write music; he played several instruments. Mark was a big fan of The Beatles, Star Trek and the New England Patriots. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 10:00 am in St. Mary Star of the Sea, 864 Point Judith Rd. Narragansett. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
