Martin L. Abreu

50, of North Providence, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Paula (Aracely) Abreu. Martin was the son of Maria E. Martinez of Massachusetts and the late Luis Abreu Osorio. Mr. Abreu was a Master Electrician with I.B.E.W. Local Union #99. He was also a Coast Guard veteran, serving during peacetime. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Martin Luis Abreu of Cranston, Stephanie Abreu of Massachusetts, Suzzette Abreu and Lisa Abreu, both of North Providence and Osvaldo Luis Abreu of Massachusetts. Martin was the cherished grandfather of Cataleya Abreu, Armani Garcia and Adanie Rodriguez. He was the dear brother of Josie DeBonet of Massachusetts, Carmen Lopez of Providence, Jose Luis Abreu of Dominican Republic and Osvaldo Luis Abreu of North Carolina. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston on Friday, April 15th, at 12: 30 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. VISITING HOURS: Saturday, April 16th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
