Martin F. McGuire, Jr
72, of Winsor Ave., Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 44 years of Irene M. "Rene" (Cantone) McGuire and loving father of Sharon A. McGuire of North Kingstown. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Martin F. and L. Gladys (MacKinnon) McGuire.
Martin was Manager of Data Communications at RI Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 30 years and later worked at Perot Systems in Providence. He served in the RI Army National Guard; was an avid golfer; enjoyed repairing computers and automobiles; and spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 28th at 11 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 931 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will take place at a later date. VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Martin's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
