Mary Ann (Luca) Amadio

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Amadio surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

She was the beloved wife of George B. Amadio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Puleo) Luca.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children: John Amadio and his wife Elizabeth, Ann Marie Phillips and her husband David; cherished grandchildren Alexandra Phillips, Stephanie Phillips, Isabella Amadio, and Ava Amadio; dear sisters Jane Marsella, and the late Catherine Annaldo and Martha Carosi.

Mary was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a beloved daughter whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, creating a home where everyone felt welcome, loved, and cared for.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved crocheting beautiful handmade afghans that will be treasured for years to come. She enjoyed cooking meals that brought family together around the table, filling her home with warmth and wonderful memories. One of her favorite places was her garden, where she lovingly grew fresh vegetables and found peace intending to them. Above all, she treasured the comfort of her home, where countless memories were made with those she loved most.

Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed but forever remembered. The lessons she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

To know her was to know her unforgettable personality. She was spunky, sassy, and never afraid to speak her mind or make those around her laugh with her quick sense of humor. Her playful spirit, sharp wit, and fierce love made her truly one of a kind. Her wit was as quick as her smile, and she had a talent for turning everyday moments into cherished memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 16th at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
