Mary (Paparelli) Dettore

90, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Riverview Nursing Home, Coventry. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Dettore. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Soscia) Paparelli. Mrs. Dettore worked for Aetna Jewelry Manufacturing for many years. Mary loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed knitting and watching all sports. She was also a member of Knightsville Library.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Donna M. Rozzero and her husband Anthony of West Warwick, Thomas D. Dettore and his wife Susan of Cranston and the late Richard J. Dettore. She was the cherished grandmother of Lauren Grady, Justin Rozzero, Melissa Crudale, Thomas Dettore and Jenna Koster; GG to 10 great-grandchildren. She was a sister of Virginia Buco of Cranston, the late Theresa Caliri, Lucy Cosper, Marjorie Voccola and Rosario Paparelli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 3rd,  at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s School, 85 Chester Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
