Mary C. (Maiorano) Ferri
95, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel J. Ferri. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria (Fasciano) Maiorano.
Mary worked as a cook's assistant at the former West View Elementary School for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by her loving children, Nicandro G. Ferri of Cranston, Rose M. Ferri of Cranston, and Elaine M. Altrui and her husband Anthony of Scituate; cherished grandchildren Michelle and Kristin Altrui and great-grandchildren Matthew and Olivia Cataldi. She was also the sister of the late Frances Forchione.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tomorrow Fund, c/o Team Olivia, 595 Eddy Street, Providence, R.I. 02903.
