Mary (Sherman) Maine

97, 0f Cranston passed away Saturday August 19, 2023 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cranston surrounded by her loving family.

Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary (Sullivan) Sherman, and stepdaughter of the late Rosetta A. (Gifford) Sherman.

Mary loved gardening and floral arranging and was an avid bowler well into her 80’s.

She was the devoted mother of William T. Maine and his wife Lisa of Cranston; loving grandmother of Jillian M. Maine and her fiancé Josh Card of Richmond, Marcy Feeney of North Kingstown, and Nicholas Smith of Cranston. She was the dear sister of the late Laurena Szlatenyi of North Kingstown. Mary is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday August 28, 2023 at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.

Visiting hours Monday morning from 10 am to 11 am.
