Mary E. (Burke) Malone

84, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC. Mary was the beloved wife of the late William J. Malone. Born in Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Josephine (Lee) Burke. Mary was a custodian for the City of Providence for many years before her retirement. Her joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially her “Angel” Ava. Family was most important to her.

She is survived by her loving children, Helen Abbey of Providence and Cindy M. Tente of Taylors, SC. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Christopher and his wife Stefania, Michaela Abbey and Michael Tente and one great-granddaughter Ava. She was the sister of Mike, Tom, Dennis, and John Burke, all of Ireland, and the late Margaret Tobin and Alice Joyce.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
