Melanie R. "Millie" (Tuirok) Barbosa

55, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Arlington Manor, Cranston. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Rodolfo B. “Rudy” Tuirok and his wife Lanie, and the late Shirley May (Hardy) Tuirok. Melanie was an employee of Swarovski for over 25 years.

Besides her father, she is survived by her loving children, Tanya T. Barbosa and her boyfriend Mark of Narragansett, and Steven J. Barbosa and his fiancée Shauna of Johnston; cherished grandchildren, Dylan Barbosa, Dante DeBartolo and Desiree DeBartolo; dear siblings Lisa E. Rowe and her husband Buzzy, Ester I. Bernardo, James R. Tuirok and his wife Deb and Daniel E. Tuirok and his wife Dee. She is also survived by her godchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 11:00 am. VISITING HOURS will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, to Melanie's Army .
