86, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (DeRita) Enright for sixty-five years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Newton) Enright. Melvin was a machine operator for United Wire Company for many years until his retirement. He was also a driver for the State of RI. Melvin was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a NY Giants and NY Yankees fan and an avid golfer. Melvin loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face; he was a true gentleman.

Besides his wife, Josephine, he is survived by his loving children, Deborah McBurnie of Cranston, Paula Krupka and her husband Joseph of Cranston and Elaine McBurnie and her husband Kenneth McBurnie, Sr., of Glocester. He was the cherished grandfather of John McBurnie, Candace Krupka, Melissa McBurnie, David Krupka, Matthew McBurnie and the late Kenneth McBurnie, Jr. He was also the great-grandfather of eight. Melvin was the brother of Margaret Rini of Lincoln, Raymond Enright of Providence, William Enright of VA and the late Edward Enright, Helen Gervais, Mary Feeley and Quinta Hawes.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
