88, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 7, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Attilio DeSantis. Born in Sulmona, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Consiglia (Silvestri) DiCienzo. She was the devoted mother of Osvaldo "Val" DeSantis and his wife Jennie of Cranston and Frank DeSantis and his wife Doreen with whom she lived with in Johnston, loving grandmother of Michael DeSantis and his wife Heather of Coventry and Danielle DeSantis of Cranston; loving great-grandmother of Nicholas and Jared.
She was the dear sister of the late Panfilo, Cesidio, Anna and Gaetano DiCienzo and Angelina Ventresca. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 64 Brayton Ave. Providence at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
