Michael A. Renzi

of Newbury Dr., Westerly, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 48 years of Eileen (Antolini) Renzi.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alberto and Carmela (LaFazia) Renzi.

A graduate of Rhode Island College and a U.S. Air Force veteran, Michael was an instructional consultant/ trainer in the computer industry for many years and later for the U.S. Coast Guard. In June 2016 he received the “Commander’s Award For Civilian Service” for outstanding performance while serving as a Training Specialist at the Coast Guard’s Leadership Development Center in New London, CT.

Michael was also the devoted father of Kristen A. Friezo and her husband Marc of Pelham Manor, NY and Stefanie M. Spano and her husband Daniel of Westerly; loving grandfather of Kathryn, Laura, Meghan, Joseph and Christopher; and dear brother of Ronald Renzi of Wareham, MA and Ann-Marie Lacki of Cranston.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt.1A) Narragansett, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be private.  VISITING HOURS are SATURDAY MORNING from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
