MICHAEL E. CORTELLESSA

Michael E. Cortellessa 49, of Rodney Rd. Warwick passed away Friday February 22, 2008 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was born in Providence beloved son of Giovanni "John" Cortellessa Jr. and Melvina (Vallesi) Cortellessa of Warwick. Michael was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving over seas in Okinawa and in Japan. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Providence Grid Iron Club, and former Treasurer. Michael also worked for his family business Cortellessa Texaco. Besides his parents he is survived by his loving brother and sister, Joann (Cortellessa) Pfeiler of Warwick and John Cortellessa III and his wife Karen of No. Providence. He was the uncle and godfather of Katelin Ann Cortellessa, and the uncle of Alicia, Jason and the late Jessica Cortellessa. He was the cherished brother of the late Arturo Cortellessa. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Timothy's Church Warwick Ave. Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
