Michael J. Jennings, Jr.

50, of Narragansett passed away at home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Michael was the first of three sons born to the late Linda (Seavey) and Michael J. Jennings Sr. on January 14, 1976, in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. He grew up in Wakefield, attended local schools and was a 1994 graduate of South Kingstown High School.

Mike, as he was known, was a loving individual. His gregarious nature and big laugh endeared him to those he knew. Considered by many as a gentle soul with a big heart, Mike was always willing to help family and friends with advice, support and encouragement. He was someone everyone could rely on when they needed help.

A loving son, Mike, cherished his mother, Linda. The two were very close, spending time together during visits and countless hours at the beach they both loved. When Linda took ill Mike provided great care and companionship. Close with his father as well Mike was a great help to him after Linda passed.

Mike’s outgoing personality and friendly demeanor carried through to his career in sales. His honesty and hard work also served others well during his time as the owner of a carpet and property cleaning business.

He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly the ocean near his home. He loved body surfing and walking at Narraganset Beach. Michael enjoyed fishing and other activities with his cousins, nephews and nieces. As is the case with someone with a big heart, he loved his dogs. He enjoyed cooking and baking, children in the family looked forward to his signature chocolate oatmeal cookies at get togethers. The love Michael had for his others showed through the joy he took in assisting with various holiday gatherings for family and friends.

He will be greatly missed by everyone; he was truly one of a kind!

Mike is survived by his father Michael J Jennings Sr, of Narragansett, RI and his two younger brothers Timothy S. Jennings of Narragansett, RI and Daniel G. Jennings of North Kingstown, RI.

He leaves behind his aunts, Diann S. Moore (and significant other, Warren) of North Kingstown, RI and Joan J. Reid (Lawrence) of Plainville, MA, uncles David J. Jennings (Donna) of North Kingstown, RI and James A. Jennings, III (Susan) of Westerly, RI.
