Michael A. Kearney

Michael A. Kearney, 75 of North Kingstown passed away peacefully on Saturday September 19, 2026. Born in Providence he was the son of the late David and Anna (Kucavicus) Kearney.

Michael was a graduate of Cranston West High School and a member of the football team. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Rhode Island. His fascination for all types of machinery which can be attributed to his farm upbringing led him into the family business. He was the owner and operator of Cranston Welding Supply. He had a great affinity for being outdoors some of his favorite activities would have been gardening, swimming, farming and visiting local farms.

He is survived by his son Michael D. Kearney, his siblings Patricia Young, Linda David, and Colleen Kearney. He also leaves his God-daughter Jody Ruffner, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin brother William Kearney, his step-brother Danny Scurfield, and his beloved step-mother Elizabeth Kearney.

His funeral will be held on Friday September 25, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home and Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be in All Saint's Cemetery, Warwick. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Nardolillo.
