Michael M. 'Sonny' Tomao

86, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (DelSanto) Tomao.

Michael worked for the Ciba-Geigy Corporation for many years as well as the Colonial Knife Corporation.

Michael was the loving father of Michele Ruzzano and her husband Michael of Providence, and the late Lynn Anatone; cherished grandfather of Jared Ruzzano, Sheri Samos, Robert Anatone, and Melissa Anatone; dear brother of Marie Powell and her husband Richard of Johnston and dear uncle of Eddy, Richard, Robert, and Michael Joseph.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Providence.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m.
