MICHELE DI GREGORIO

79, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Miriam Hospital, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria (Gianfrancesco) DiGregorio. Born in Fontegreca, Caserta, Italy, he was a son of the late Antonio and Serafina (Ricci) DiGregorio. Mr. DiGregorio was a founding member of Fontegreca Club, Providence. He came to this country in 1960 and began his family, whom he cherished, and built his successful business, MDM Landscape and Construction, Inc., which he operated for over 40 years until his retirement. Michele was loved by all who knew him and it reflected on his famous smile. Besides his wife, he is survived by his 4 children; Antonio DiGregorio and his wife Hollie of Warwick, Sarah Golato and her husband Bill of Johnston, Maria Mansolillo and her husband Raymond of Cranston, and Michael DiGregorio and his wife Nikole of Johnston. Michele was the beloved grandfather of 8. He was the brother of Carmela Barone of Providence, and the late Girolamo and Sabatino DiGregorio. Funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Church, Providence at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
