90, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Gamba) Mariano. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Michele and Maria (Rega) Mariano. Mike was a machinist for General Electric Corporation for many years before his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. Mike was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an US Army veteran serving with the 717th Tank Battalion during WW II. He is survived by his loving children, Marie Quattrucci and her husband William of East Greenwich, Dorothy Campopiano and her husband David of Providence, Donna Drolet of Florida and her late husband Paul, and Michael Mariano and his wife Bernadette of South Kingstown. He was the cherished grandfather of Erica, John, William Jr., Michaela, Stefanie, Randy, Brian, David, Kalyn, and Alyssa and the great-grandfather of thirteen. Michele was the brother of Mary Pagliarini of Cranston, Margaret Coccia of East Greenwich, and the late Carmella Rivelli, Rachel Alviti, Rose Malone, Elena Alviti, Ralph Mariano, and Virginia Guglielmo. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.
