54, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday October 30, 2016 at RI Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William Aguiar. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Monique A. (St. Denis) Casey and the late Robert S. Casey.
Michelle was the President of Board of Directors for A Wish Come True in Warwick, RI. She was recently appointed to the Cranston Arts Commission, a member of the Cranston Historical Society, Past-President of the Daniel D. Waterman Elementary School PTW a former teacher at Christ the Redeemer in West Warwick and served as the Tourism Ambassador to the Virgin Islands.
She loved attending concerts, plays and taking Caribbean cruises. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, and she typically began her shopping in January. Michelle also was sure to call all of her family members when the first snow of the year would fall to let them know “Christmas is coming”.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Ian Casey Aguiar and Pierce William Aguiar, both of Cranston; dear siblings, Colette Marie Casey-Brenner and her husband Richard of Waltham, MA, Robert S. Casey II and his wife Sandra of Carmel, NY and Danielle Marie Iannelli and her husband Giacomo of North Kingstown. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Andrew Brenner, James Brenner, Casey Iannelli, Brandon Iannelli, Shane Iannelli, Gianna Iannelli, River Jo Casey and Riley Casey.
Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 5:00 pm. VISITING HOURS will precede the service from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: A Wish Come True, Inc., 1010 Warwick Ave. Warwick, RI, 02888.
