Nancy M. (Smith) DiCicco

84, of West Warwick, Rhode Island passed away on October 9th. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late George T. Smith and Iva (Hockhousen) Smith. She was a 1958 graduate of Warwick Veterans High School. In her earlier years, Nancy had danced professionally for the June Taylor dancers and many theaters throughout New England, before deciding to share her love and passion for teaching. She successfully owned and operated five dance studios," LeFebvre Academy of Dance" and "New England Dance & Gymnastics Complex". She always spoke so proudly of her students that have gone on to dance, choreograph and perform professionally in the dance/entertainment industry. "Miss Nancy" was a highly respected teacher and adjudicator for numerous dance competitions, not only in the United States but in Canada and Mexico as well. She was a member of Dance Master of America. Nancy was on the board of directors for many dance organizations. She co -directed American Dance Awards and featured make-up tutorials for competitive dancers around the country for Dancer Magazine. She was a highly respected professional, leaving a prestigious, iconic stamp in the dance world. Nancy's love of life and people was infectious and she touched the lives of so many.

She was the devoted mother of Leisa M. Morin of Warwick, Desiree LeFebvre and her husband Scott Hood of Kansas, Kenneth Scott DiCicco and his wife Sandra, of North Scituate, and Nicole Cavalloro and her husband David, of Cranston, and son in law, Bruce Q. Morin of West Warwick. The loving grandmother of Ashleigh Avery, Brittany Hunter, Talia DiCicco, Kylie DiCicco, Isabella Cavalloro, Layla DiCicco, David Cavalloro Jr. and great grandson Milo Avery. She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Robert LeFebvre and Albert DiCicco, fathers to her children. She was the sister of George T. Smith, Jr., Carol Celeberto and Linda Fritsche, all of Warwick, Rhode Island. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Nancy will be forever loved and missed by all the lives she touched. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the entire staff at West View Nursing Home for their loving care of our mom over the last year, and also Continuum Hospice Care for their support.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation 11A Blackstone Valley Place, Lincoln RI 02865.
