93, of Cape Haze, FL, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Morgan Health Center, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Selena M. (Reynolds) DeRaimo. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Giovanni DiRaimo and Anna (Cardillo) DiRaimo Valente. Nicholas was the step-son of the late Daniel Valente. He was an US Army Air Force veteran serving in the European Theatre in air offenses in Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Germany and the Ardennes. Nicholas was a self-employed carpenter and the owner of the New England Building Company, Cranston. He was a former member of the Thornton Beagle Club, the American Greyhound Association, and the Atlantic Tuna Tournament. Nicholas was an avid golfer with three holes in one. Nicholas is survived by his loving children, Virginia M. DeRaimo of Cranston, Glenn D. Milson and his wife Lori of Carolina, Nicholas A. DeRaimo, John J. DeRaimo and his wife Monique all of Foster. He was the cherished grandfather of Donald G. Milson and Victoria N. DeRaimo and the great-grandfather of Ivy Milson. He was the brother of Angelo Valente of The Villages, FL Josephine Colafrancesco, and Anthony Valente, both of Cranston, and the late Rose Petrozzi and Jennie Ciambrone. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m.
