NICHOLAS A. 'CAPTAIN NICK' DE PETRILLO

75, of Block Island, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at RI Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank and Fatima (Ciuccio) DePetrillo. Nicholas was the founder and former owner of Captain Nick's on Block Island. Mr. DePetrillo was also a former owner of the Block Island Inn, a member of the RI National Guard, and the State Democratic Committee. He was also elected to the Block Island Town Council and was a historic building restorer. He is survived by his ten siblings: Frank, Thomas (Carol Keefe), Lawrence (Nancy), David (Jean), Anthony (Danette), Paul (Lu Anne), Eleanor Chadronet (Tom "TC"), Carol Goulet (Steve), Linda Mowry, and Judith Stracaluzi (Donald). Captain Nick was the treasured uncle of many adoring nieces and nephews and was loved by numerous loyal friends.

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are FRIDAY 4-8 p.m.
