Nicholas R. Simone

71, of Johnston, passed away on Monday June 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the former husband of Loretta (Antocicco) Simone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guido and Mary (Marcello) Simone and stepson of Mildred Simone. He was a Youth Correctional Officer at the RI Training School for many years, before retiring, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Besides his former wife and stepmother, he was the father of Pat Simone, Debra Simone, Millie Simone and Nicholas R. Simone, grandfather of five and great-grandfather of two.
He was the brother of George, Robert and Julie Simone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday June 9, 2014 at the Georgiaville Baptist Church, 100 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
