55, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 peacefully at home. Nimfa was the wife of Anthony M. DeVecchis. Born in Santa Ana, Manila, Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Vincente and Gregoria S. (Santos) Adoptante. Nimfa was a computer operator for many years, working at Brown University and the former American Insulated Wire, Co. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Amanda G. DeVecchis of New Jersey. Nimfa was the sister of Danilo, Julito, Gino, Rogel and Vicente Adoptante, and Rosalinda Fernandes, Victoria Espidol, Gemma Mitchell, Elizabeth Vergara and the late Vergel Adoptante. She was the daughter-in-law of Gino DeVecchis and the late Josephine DeVecchis. Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 92 Hope Street, Providence at 12:00 p.m. VISITING HOURS are on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI.
