Mr. Potter was a brakeman for Conrail for 31 years before retiring in 1983 and was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran.
Besides his wife, he was the stepfather of George L. Illingworth and his wife Linda of Narragansett and Robert K. Illingworth and his wife Patricia of Lutz, FL; dear brother of Robert Potter of Warwick, Elizabeth M. Gordon of East Greenwich and the late Raymond Potter, Helen Grossi and Rita Potter; loving grandfather of four; and loving great-grandfather of four.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark's Church, Garden City, Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
