84 of Welfare Ave died on September 27th at home. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Russo) Patricio and the companion of Arlene Lemieux, to whom his children are forever grateful for her devotion and care of their father.
Born in Somerset MA, the son of the late Joseph and Sarah Patricio. He was a graduate of Somerset High School, and a veteran of the US Coast Guard. Mr. Patricio was employed at Bostitch until his retirement.
An accomplished musician he performed with many bands, the most notable being "Freddie and the Starlighters". An accomplished artist, his cartoons and drawings were enjoyed by all. He was active in local youth sports coaching in the West Side Little League and The Warwick Football League.
He is survived by his sons Norman and his wife Phillis of Cranston RI, David and his wife Sheila of Warwick RI, Michael and his wife Antoinette of Warwick, RI and Steven Patricio of Warwick, RI. He is survived by his sister Sandra Buell. He was the brother of the late Joseph Patricio of Somerset MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren David, Morgan, Sarah, Joseph, Lauren, Nicole, Steven, and Crystal.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 am , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and military honors at 10 am in St. William's Church, Pettaconsett Ave , Warwick. Burial will be private.
