89, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Guido M. D’Arezzo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Clotilde (DeLuca) Romano. Olga was the ROTC office manager at Providence College for ten years before her retirement. She was also a federal civil servant for many years at the former Quonset Point Naval Air Station and the Newport Naval War College. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in history at Providence College. She was an avid reader and loved to travel, especially to Italy where she and her husband visited many times.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving sons, Guido A. D’Arezzo and his wife Debra of Cranston and Robert M. D’Arezzo and his wife Jeanne of North Kingstown. Olga was cherished grandmother of Dayna Page, Matthew Bessette, Nathan D’Arezzo, Katie Rickey, Robert D’Arezzo, Amy Fierlit and Daniel D’Arezzo. She was the great-grandmother of Alexa and Sophie Page, Emily Rickey, Molly D’Arezzo and Kelsey Rickey. Olga was the sister of the late, Arthur Romano, Lee Simmons, Virginia Romano and Ida Thompson.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by services at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Exchange Fellowship Church, 75 Division Street, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
