Ora (Bard) Grande

96, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Grande. Ora passed away on the anniversary of her husband's death. Born in Van Buren, ME, she was a daughter of the late John and Emelia (Dubois) Bard. She was an inspector for Norton Manufacturing Company of Johnston for twenty-five years before her retirement. Ora was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Church, and St. Mary's Women's Society. She was an avid golfer. Ora is survived by her loving children Robert Desjardins and his wife Louise of West Palm Beach, FL, Carol Grande of Swansea, MA, and the late Lorraine Grennon. She was the step-mother of Joseph Grande, Jr., Barbara Lawrence, both of Las Vegas, NV, and Frances Grande of Portland, OR. She was the cherished grandmother of twelve, great-grandmother of fifteen, and great-great grandmother of one great-great grandson. She was the sister Eva Macaro of East Hartford, CT and the late Doris Giroux, and Jeanne Chadwick. Ora's wishes were to be cremated without a funeral service.
