Pasco J. "Pat" Bucci

94, of Cranston passed away peacefully with his loving family by his bedside on September 18, 2026 in his home of 66 years that he personally designed and built with his own hands. Born and having lived his entire life in Cranston, he was the devoted husband of Anna (Cifelli) Bucci with whom he shared 71 years of life together (65 years married) until Anna’s death at 88 in 2019. He was the son of Pasquale and Rose (DiMuccio) Bucci both from Pietravairano (Naples), Italy.

Pat was the loving father of Michael Joseph Bucci and daughter Maria Lisa Bucci, both of Cranston, the late Patricia Ann Bucci and was the vibrant grandfather to David, Daniel and Carina Bucci; and Nicholas and Kevin Perreault. He was brother to Ralph, Carmella (Alviti), Grace (Erico), Lillian (Sabatini), Anthony (his twin) and Herbert, each deceased; and leaves behind Brenda (Sepe), Eugene and Joyce (Calitri).

For those who knew or even just briefly met Pat, he was someone who will likely always be remembered. He was often described as a “force of nature” with an energy level, character and personality that was truly one of one. He built his entire life upon these principles and words: honor God, family comes 1st, be who you are, pay attention to detail, always negotiate for a better result and work, work, work. He loved to teach, especially his 5 beloved grandchildren.

Drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War at age 19, he honorably served for two years as a member of the Army Signal Corp stationed in Turkey in the Joint Military Mission for Turkey, respectfully turning down the Army’s recruitment efforts to attempt to make him an officer. During his time in Turkey, he was asked to lead a crew of men (including his higher-ranking sergeant he often bragged) to rebuild a U.S. Army building that had burned to the ground. Little did he know then that this would launch his construction business of close to 70 years, Precision Home Builders, Inc. when he returned to the states.

Pat studied architectural drawing at Rhode Island School of Design and through Precision Home Builders, Inc., he designed, drafted and built well over 100 houses including developing Drum Rock Estates in Warwick where he personally designed and constructed all 55 currently constructed homes.

He was also a master carpenter. Following years of countless carpentry projects, at the age of 88, with minimal assistance from others, he performed all the finish/trim carpentry in a new house constructed by his son including, without any assistance whatsoever, building an exterior deck and 5 feet high stone walls with stairs on the same property.

To further enhance his "force of nature" reputation, at age 91 he power-washed, sanded, primed and painted 80% of his own residence only leaving work to be completed three steps or higher on a ladder to another painter.

Dance and music were a passion. He and wife Anna were always the first two to dance at any event. He played trumpet in the Cranston High School band; guitar and beginning at age 85, with his ability to read sheet music, taught himself to play the piano and numerous songs on it. The last song he taught himself and played right up to a few days before his passing was, so fittingly, the Frank Sinatra classic, MY WAY. Without question, those that knew him would agree, Pat lived his life his way.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 9:45 a.m. from Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark’s Church, Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held in St Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
