92, of North Providence, previously of Providence where he had lived for over 78 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Hebert Nursing Center, Smithfield surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucy M. (Amicarelli) Corona the love of his life for 60 years. Pasco was born in Providence, a son of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza (Castellucci) Corona. He grew up on Federal Hill, and was a decorated WW II veteran, serving in the Army 36 division receiving the Bronze Star, as well as the Purple Heart, and was a lifetime member of the Kelley Gazzerro VFW Post # 2812 and a member of the Sons of Italy. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 26 years until his retirement in 1989.
A dedicated family man, Pasco enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Music was his passion. Pasco and Lucy would turn heads as they controlled the dance floor. He enjoyed golfing with his friends , bowling and watching the New England sports teams.
He is survived by his loving children, Donald Corona and his wife Maria of Cranston, Loreen Corona -Russell and her late husband Michael Russell of Warwick, Ann Marie Corona and her wife Stacy of North Providence, Michael Corona of Warwick, Michele Cappalli and her husband Thomas of Cranston and David Corona and his late wife Ann Marie of Johnston.
He was the cherished grandfather of Mathew, Lea, Michael, Charissa, Thomas, Ariana and Domenic and was also the great grandfather of 4. Pasco was also the dear brother of the late Peter Corona, Armando Corona and Mary Ursini.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Disabled American Veterans, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
