Pasquale T. DeFusco Jr.

91, of Warwick, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (DeTroia) DeFusco for 61 years. Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Pasquale Sr., and Lucrezia (DePlacito) DeFusco.

A dedicated and honorable man, Pasquale proudly served in the United States Navy during peacetime and his commitment to lay the foundation a life characterized by integrity and devotion.

After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Pasquale embarked on a meaningful career with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, where he served as a Correctional Officer Steward for 35 years. Pasquale was a proud 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

An avid outdoorsman, Pasquale found great joy in hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to appreciate nature and spend time with friends and fellow enthusiasts. Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, he brightened the lives of many. Over the years he earned his nickname “Pat the Cat” to many that knew him.

Besides his wife Josephine, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Lisa and Laurie DeFusco both of Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of Christina Day. Brother of Marie Jordan of Tiverton and the late Dorothy Brilhante and Robert DeFusco. Pasquale also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Monday, June 9th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: SUNDAY 4:00-7:00 p.m.
