Pasqualina 'Pat' (Cascella) Blasi
95, of Warwick passed peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Greenwood Center in Warwick. Pat was a devoted mother and homemaker who cherished her family and showed by example how to live courageously while facing cancer and other hardships for more than 30 years. She brought joy and good spirits to everyone she met, whether it be a neighbor or complete stranger and showed compassion for others through her Catholic faith by giving freely, even when she had little.
She was born in Providence to Pascale Cascella and Luisa (Rossetti) Cascella and is survived by her twin sister, Maria Cascella. She was the devoted mother of two sons for whom she never stopped sacrificing - Robert Blasi and his wife Gayle and Donald Blasi and his wife Kathy. She was the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren, the beloved great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren, the respected aunt of several nieces and nephews and a mother-in-law to Susan Blasi. She was the sister of the late Agostino "Gus", Antonio "Tony" and Edward A. "Eddie" Cascella and Raffaelina "Raye" Mastrostefano.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 24th at 10 a.m. in St Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd, Warwick, followed by burial at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston.
