Patricia "Patty" Carpenter

Patricia “Patty” Carpenter, 81of Cranston passed away on Monday February 2, 2026, at home. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Marker) Diffley. She was the beloved wife of the late Wayne L. Carpenter, and the cherished mother of the late Dawn M. Carpenter.

Patty was a long-time disability consultant, working until her retirement for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

She is survived by her dear sister Colleen Achin and her husband Mark, and a brother Timothy E. Diffley. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a sister and five brothers.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on SATURDAY February 28, 2026, at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Ave., Providence. Everyone is invited to go directly to the church. Entombment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, will be private . Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
