Paul A. Cayer, Jr., a beloved son, grandson, nephew, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island. Born on May 25, 1991, in Warwick, Rhode Island, Paul was a kind and welcoming individual who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A graduate of Coventry High School in 2009, Paul pursued further education at Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI). He began his career in the restaurant industry as a busboy and worked diligently to become the Kitchen Manager for Reiner Pub & Game Room. His passion for cooking and learning new styles of cuisine were evident in the way he approached his work and created delightful culinary dishes for his mother.
Paul cherished the memories of traveling with his grandfather, which instilled in him a love of adventure and exploration. "Punkinhead " was an avid New York Giants fan who enjoyed razzing his New England Patriots fans family. Paul also enjoyed spending his free time with family and friends. Above all, he held his family dear to his heart and maintained close relationships with many family members and friends throughout his life.
Paul is survived by his mother, Denise Bricker; step-father, John Bricker; father, Paul A. Cayer, Sr. and his wife, Berita; maternal grandparents, Richard Villanova and his wife, Diann ; aunts Carol-Anne Herbert-Villanova and her wife, Renee; Christine Cooper and her husband, Thomas; Donna Dube and her husband, Christopher; Cindy DeRobbio and her husband, Daniel; Beatrice Brouillard and her late husband, Art; Bernadette Morrell and her husband Owen; Cheryl LiBrandi and her husband, Robert; and Blanche Duval and her husband, Johnny; uncles Edward Cayer, Sr. and his wife, Bonnie; Joseph Cayer, Jr. and his wife, Brandi; girlfriend Myranda Waller; as well as several cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, William A. Cayer, and his paternal grandparents Joseph E.H. Cayer, and his wife, Doris.
Visitation will take place on June 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Nardolillo Funeral Home, located at 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910. At the request of his family all his funeral services are private.
Paul A. Cayer, Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit, kindness, sense of humor and passion for life will be remembered fondly as we celebrate his legacy.
