Paul E. Smith, III

a devoted family man, passed away suddenly on August 27, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on March 20, 1976, in Providence, Rhode Island, Paul filled the lives of those around him with joy, love, and laughter.

For 23 years, Paul was married to his beloved wife, Sandra M. (Richardson) Smith, and together they shared a deep bond that spanned 35 years. Their love was evident to all who knew them, and together they cultivated a warm and nurturing environment for their two sons, Nathaniel E. Smith and Brendan M. Smith. Paul took immense pride in his roles as husband and father, always striving to provide support and encouragement to his family.

Paul's parents, Gail A. (Smith) DiBiaso (Anthony) of Coventry and Paul E. Smith, Jr. (Rita) of Johnston, along with his sisters, Stephanie Smith of South Easton, MA, and Joann Smith of Greenville, ME; four nieces and three nephews; his father-in-law, James Richardson; and sisters-in-law, Sheri Della Grotta and Susan Richardson, will forever hold onto the cherished memories he created with them. He loved his family dearly, and they will miss his wonderful sense of humor and his unwavering devotion. He was the son-in-law of the late Irene Richardson and brother-in-law of the late Mario Della Grotta.

Throughout his career at Fisher Auto Parts, Paul earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His work ethic and commitment were evident in all he did. Outside of work, Paul had a myriad of interests that brought him joy; he loved music, family game night, fishing, building Lego, and making memories in New Hampshire with his family, especially during the fall and winter seasons, when the landscape transformed into a breathtaking sight.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. VISITING HOURS TUESDAY from 4-7pm.
