Paul B. Surabian

of Lincoln, RI, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Miriam Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Sophie (Hagopian) Surabian.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas and Altoon (Topalian) Surabian.

Besides his wife Sophie, Paul was the devoted and loving father of Rhonda M. Boyajian and her husband Donald of Clifton Park, NY, Paul T. Surabian and his wife Diane of East Greenwich, RI and Alison S. Haytayan and her husband Harry of Hollis, NH; cherished grandfather of Don, Caroline, William and Allison Boyajian, Stephanie Durgarian and her husband Nicholas, Christine and Paul Surabian, Harry, Natalie, Jacquelyn  and Robert Haytayan; dear brother of Anne Kaye Kibarian of North Providence; and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Paul was the founder and former president of Douglas Construction and RAPCO Building Company and owner of RAPCO Realty. He loved his craft and devoted his professional life making various contributions to the construction industry within the New England landscape. Paul was also a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

His Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at 11 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial with military honors at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
