Paula M. (Barletta) Coletta

82, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center RI surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Sylvester “Sully” Coletta. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ada (DePastene) Barletta.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Sharon Abood and her husband John of Providence, Renee Grasso of Cranston; cherished grandchildren Joseph, Anthony, Sarah and Tayla. She also leaves a son Paul Desmarais, step children, Sylvester “Chick” Coletta and his wife Carmen of Boca Raton, FL and the late David Coletta. She was the sister of the late Janet Fraielli.

Paula was the Vice President of the former Coletta & Kaplan Furniture in Providence.  She was also a member of the St. Anthony Council No. 1618, Knights of Columbus Social Committee. Paula cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She also loved cooking, especially her famous wine biscuits, and vacationing in Florida.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., on Saturday at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 pm.
