Paula M. (Makkonen) Der Manouelian
76, of Hunt St. Central Falls, RI, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Finland, she was the daughter of the late Uuno and Katri (Ovaskainen) Makkonen and former wife of the late Michael Der Manouelian.
Paula was employed by RISD for many years before retiring.
She was the devoted mother of George Der Manouelian of North Providence and Lisa Underhill of Cranston; loving grandmother of Sadie; and dear sister of Ray Makkonen of Central Falls, Asta Thorn of Florida and Tuula Aber of Finland.
Her funeral was private.
