Paula T. Proulx, 80 of Warren passed away on Friday June 12, 2026. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Cascione) Traverse. She was the beloved wife of 47 years to Norman Proulx whom she actually met at FM Global where she retired after a very long successful career.
Paula was a kind, loving and nurturing person. At a young age she was tasked often with the responsibility of taking care of her much younger cousins, a job she took on willingly and with abandonment, forming life long bonds. She also belonged to a group of local ladies that she often went to lunch with where they enjoyed discussing politics and anything else they felt passionate about. Paula was also an avid reader particularly anything that involved history. Paula always dressed beautifully taking great pride in her appearance, a trait inspired by her mother. Like her mother she possessed inner strength that allowed her to be a twice breast cancer survivor, which inspired her and her family to participate in the Gloria Gemma 5K breast cancer walk yearly. Paula also loved nature and animals, most recently her beloved dog, Ebbie. Paula’s love of travel and culture led her and Norman to 8 different countries but her greatest love was her family.
Besides her husband she is survived by her son Rick and his wife Jaime, and her two cherished grandchildren Sloane and Ryder. She also leaves her many sibling -like cousins as well as her best friend Terry.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 27, 2026, at 12:00pm at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be held from 11:00am – 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Bristol Animal Shelter, 10 Minturn Farm Rd, Bristol, RI 02809.
