Pauline (Blekjion) Avedisian

of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2016.   She was the wife of the late Charles “Gary” Avedisian.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Melkon and Mary (Jizmagian)Blekjion.

Pauline was employed with Filene’s for over twenty years where she was recognized and won numerous service awards.   She enjoyed singing and dancing, the latest fashions, the beach and above all spending time with and caring for her family.  Pauline was a vibrant woman with a dynamic personality and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son George Avedisian and his wife Lisa, Gary Avedisian and his wife Dina, and Mary Feeney and her husband James.  She was also the mother of the late Donna Avedisian. Pauline was most proud of her seven grandchildren, Alexis, James, Gian, Gary, Lia, Michael, and Ethan who brought her great joy.

Our family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of Elderwood of Scallop Shell at Wakefield for their exceptional care of our beloved mother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
