Peter A. Bertani, Jr.

85, of East Providence passed away on Sunday May 29, 2016 at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nancy T. (Golderese) Bertani. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Peter A. and Assunta “Susie” (Bertone) Bertani.

Peter was an educator in the RI Public School system for many years. He also was President of Officiating for the RI Interscholastic League; producer/director at WJAR and WSBE TV stations; owner of the advertising agency Peter A. Bertani Associates; and owner of Clams Italia Restaurant on Federal Hill with his wife Nancy.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Nancy M. Kohli and her husband Anu of Surrey, England, Peter A. Bertani III, MD of North Providence, Paul M. Bertani and his wife Jo’Ann of Cranston, and James T. Bertani and his wife Erin of Riverside; grandchildren Manav P. Kohli and Prithvi A. Kohli; brother of Victor J. Bertani of Sarasota, FL

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
