Peter Lombardi, Jr.

92, of Johnston, passed away Monday January 19, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Capobianco) Lombardi.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Emily (Salzillo) Lombardi, Sr.

Peter was the owner - operator of Hy-Test Oil Company for many years. Peter served the Italo American Club as a Past President, as a former Board Member, and for many years over saw all projects at the building. He was a longtime member of the Johnston Senior Center where he spearheaded the location and building of the current Johnston Senior Center. Peter also served in US Army during the Korean war.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Lisa Lombardi, Daniel Ugarte, Michael Capobianco, Donna DeCosta and the late Peter Lombardi, III; loving grandfather of Larissa Thompson, Lauren Garcia, Gino Lombardi, Joshua Lombardi, Angelina, Aria, Gianna and Elise Capobianco, Arianna DelGigante and Dante Onorato; loving great-grandfather of Ashton, Audriana, Sophia, Roman, Victoria, Amelia, Joshua Jr, and Leah.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday January 28, 2026 in Our Lady of Grace Church George Waterman Rd. Johnston at 10am. Entombment will be private.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2026 from 4pm – 7 pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.
