73, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Mary Anne (Swiczewicz) Conti for 40 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Philip S. Conti and Elvira (Del Santo) Conti.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Cynthia M. Conti, and Johnathan P. Conti; cherished granddaughter Amelia V. Gould; dear siblings Kenneth J. Conti and his wife Kathy, and Lucille M. Conti. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Philip graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School and went to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from URI, where he was also a member of a fraternity. Later in his life, Philip was part of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Parish as well as an usher and a Eucharistic Minister.
To know Philip was to know joy. He was your best friend, even if you only just met. Philip held as many jobs as he had health problems, but that only added to his book of hilarious stories. His most notable jobs included working alongside his father at the Alpine Country Club and working various positions at Cranston Print Works.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, September 6th at 8:45 am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be Friday, September 5th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in the Funeral Home.
