Pierina "Perry" (Massa) Sorbara

89, of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Hope Health Hospice in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore F. Sorbara. Born in Fondi, Latina, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Rafaella (DiBiasio) Massa.

Perry was a talented seamstress for many years before retiring.

She was the devoted mother of Anna Montella and her husband Richard of Johnston and Gina Sorbara of North Smithfield; cherished grandmother of Joseph Montella and his wife Brittney of Cranston and Michelle Montella and her fiancé Nick McGuirl of Coventry; loving great-grandmother of Jackson McGuirl; and dear sister of Mena Trutlio and Gina Fiore both of Fondi, Latina, Italy and the late Nino Massa, Vincenzina Lauretti and Maria Salvadore. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Theresa DeMara of the Bronx, NY and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 16th at 10 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
