Raffaela (Tuccinardi) Ialongo

98, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning June 10, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Concetta (Spirito) Tuccinardi.

She was born on February 13, 1925, in Itri, Italy. Raffaela was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Ialongo for 61 years prior to his passing in 2020. Raffaela and her husband Giuseppe and their infant daughter Maria immigrated to the United States in 1961.

Raffaela is survived by her loving children, Maria Colella and her husband Anthony, and Frank Ialongo, Ret. Capt. EPFD, and his wife Holly, of Cranston. She was the cherished Nonna of Arianna and her husband John Centonze, Anthony Colella II Johnston FD, Luca, Noah and Marco Ialongo. Raffaela was the sister of the late Salvatore Tuccinardi, Luigi Tuccinardi, and Maria Santimone, all of Montreal, Canada.

Raffaela enjoyed a quite peaceful life as a stay-at home mom and homemaker who selflessly dedicated her time caring and providing for her family. She enjoyed tending to the family garden and her flowers throughout the yard. She passed on and kept family traditions alive, including holiday gatherings such as the Seven Fishes-La Vigilia on Christmas Eve, making zeppole on St. Josephs Day, and canning their garden tomatoes, making wonderful memories along the way.

The family of Raffaela would like to thank the staff at Cedar Crest Nursing Home for the care and compassion they provided over the past 3 years. A special thank you is given to Ingrid, Helena, Jody and Xiamara-TRUE ANGELS!!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 24th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston. Burial and visiting hours are respectfully private. Flowers are kindly omitted.
