94 of Cranston entered into eternal life on December 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of 53 years of Rosaria "Rose" (Maraia) Ciunci. Born in Cranston he was the son of the late Gaetano and Matilda (Fontana) Ciunci. Ralph was a Veteran of the US Army before becoming a plumber for the U.S. Government in Davisville, RI. He later worked for the State of Rhode Island maintaining plumbing in buildings throughout the State.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Kristine Lutrario and her husband Ken, and his son Ralph M. Ciunci and his wife Lisa all of Cranston. He was the Proud Papa to Vanessa Lutrario and Antonia, Ariana and Alisha Ciunci. He was the brother to the late Mary Geremia, Rose Perretta, Josphine Martucci, Isabelle Fava, Susie Imondi and Anna Della Porta. Ralph was a kind and compassionate man who was happiest when he was together with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with family in Jamestown, at the family summer home. He also loved playing High-Low Jack, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels, and gardening.
Funeral will be held on Thursday December 10th at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St Marks Church, 9 Garden Court Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Anns Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
